are you using miracle mud for the main tank? btw, about your filtration, is using matrix and purigen enough to control the nutrient? thanx, this is newbie asking...

Pak, the sand is brown, is it miracle mud? What kind of sand do you use? I think I can see better of your aquascaping after you turn on your glaring light....hehehe
Btw, keep that baby up and running...

I am using Live Sand that was collected the night before it went into my tank from a shallow offshore reef... it is full of life and i can see in the air pockets etc lots and lots of copepod and other marine life

I am using live sand collected from a shallow offshore reef. lots of marine life in it. A LOT....

Using Matrix and Purigen combined with Properly Cured Live Rock, Live Sand and in my opinion the best value for money skimmer that you can buy is more than enough to deal with the nutrients. i also use Seagel and stability.

There is no need to have Fluidizers and Reactors or other things in your tank...just simple effective filtration is all thats needed.

Thanks.

Already put coral when you cycling? What additives you put in there? Great corals you got there....Btw, is it dead rocks do you use?

No, its live rock that has been cured a long, long time, and the corals help with the cycling. I use H&S coral food, and will start dosing with a number of seachem products in about 2 weeks as cycling completes.

I will get better photos up of the corals soon as my camera for some reason is not picking up on the true colors of the corals.

thanks

why your live rock that cured a long long time not have coraline algae ?

Hi guys. I am including photos taken today on some of my corals and live rock excuse the brown algae my tank is well into cycle and as with any cycle brown algae is apart of the process
