I have upgraded my tank to a new 300 gallon mixed reef tank
I will be going with a Lagoon Rock Layout for this tank.
Here are the specs so far....
Tank
200x80x70 Asahi 12mm'
Sump
120 x 55x 50 Asahi 10mm
Total Water Capacity +/- 1350L
Lighting
12 x TMC AquaBeam 1000HD Ultra Reef White
4 x TMC Aquabeam 600 HD Fiji Blue
4 x TMC AquaRay Multicontrollers
Aquarail fixtures and fittings
Skimmer
H&S model 200- 1260 Internal
Pumps
1 x TMC V2 PowerPump 5500
1 x TMC V2 PowerPump 4000
UV
2 x TMC V2 Vecton 600
Filtration
30 Liters Seachem Matrix
600ml Seachem Purigen
3 Liters Seachem Seagel
The tank dimensions i have selected give it a great depth and looks really good. also perfect for my lagoon theme.
I am using the new TMC Aquabeam 1000HD LED Lights....i have read many reviews on them and they are all excellent and have become very popular. they save a huge amount on energy and the power these lights have is fantastic....very impressed.
The Fiji 600HD lights have the best blue i have ever seen they really are amazing.
I have also chosen to use the controllers with the lights. with these i can do many cool things including sunrise, full day time, sunset and moonlight and also thunderstorms if i wanted to.
For my skimmer its the H&S...again the reviews and feedback are great and they really do pull a lot of scum from the tank.
I have chosen to go with 2 pumps for my tank. they will create a strong and medium flow...the more flow the better. TMC pumps i did some research and they are made by Sicce in italy again a very reputable company in europe.
I was only going to use 1 UV on my tank but after thinking about it i decided to go with 2 just to make sure everything is getting zapped going through...again its better to be safe than sorry.
Filtration is seachem matrix a highly pours media excellent reviews im using purigen again its great for keeping nitrates and water under control and seachem seagel which keeps p04 and water clarity in check.
I will include some photos below for you to see and i will have more updates to follow
thanks.
